Jay Bellamy (born July 8, 1972 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey) is a former American football safety most notably for the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League. He was originally signed by the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent in 1994. He played college football at Rutgers.
Early years[]
Bellamy attended Matawan Regional High School and was a letterman in football and track. In football, he was a two-way starter as a quarterback and as a free safety.[1]
