Darryl Allan Ashmore (born November 1, 1969 in Peoria, Illinois) is a former American football offensive lineman in the National Football League for the Los Angeles/St. Louis Rams, Oakland Raiders and Washington Redskins. He played college football at Northwestern University. He replaced Hall Of Famer Jackie Slater in 1995 for two years with the St. Louis Rams. At Northwestern, after one year of playing offensive line, he earned All-Big Ten Honors and made the Dean's List academically.
He went on to have a successful 11-year career in the NFL despite suffering a career-threatening injury after his Junior season at NU, where he was a dominant defensive lineman for three seasons. In high school he was rated one of the top players in the state and was an All-American and named Scholar Athlete of the Year in the tri-county area.
